We welcome riders of any ability from beginner to experienced and we have horses to match. The minimum age is 4 years old but there is no upper age limit as long as you are feel you are able to mount and ride.
Whilst COVID-19 restrictions are in place we can only offer riding to those who can mount, dismount and ride unaided. Young children aged 4 or above can still ride but we would ask that their parent or carer helps them get on or off and leads them if necessary.

Can riders with a disability ride?

Do I need to wear a back protector?
It's entirely up to you. If you do we will need to check the fit doesn't interfere with the back of the saddle.

Yes, all riders must wear a hat which meets the PAS015 standard which we can lend you. In some of our photos you may see actors on horseback without helmets. This will have been under controlled conditions with specific insurance and indemnity for performers.
Which horse will I ride?
We aim to match your horse to your ability, size and weight but if you have a favourite please let us know when booking. If you're an experienced rider who's coming for the first time we will need to assess your ability before setting off. Please don't be offended as it's for your and the horse's safety and welfare.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately, due to our insurance policy, you won't be able to bring your dog onto the yard or accompany the ride. However there are shaded parking areas and we can show you where to take your dog for a walk.
What can non riders do?
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to offer refreshments. During good weather non-riders can sit outside and watch the riding arena following social distancing rules.
